1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DOCSCOPE ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Service Description

DOCSCOPE is a document chat platform that uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology to enable users to:

  • Upload and store documents (PDF, DOCX, Markdown, plain text)
  • Ask questions about their documents using natural language
  • Receive AI-generated answers with source citations
  • Collaborate through workspaces with role-based access control
  • Share documents with specific users or workspace members

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in any activity that may harm the Service or other users.

4. User Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to documents and content you upload to DOCSCOPE. We do not claim ownership of your content.

4.2 License Grant

By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and analyze your documents solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This includes:

  • Extracting text for indexing and search
  • Creating vector embeddings for semantic search
  • Sending relevant excerpts to AI services to generate answers

4.3 Content Restrictions

You agree not to upload content that:

  • Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Is illegal, harmful, or violates applicable law
  • Contains sensitive personal data without proper authorization
  • Violates confidentiality agreements or trade secrets

5. Workspaces and Collaboration

5.1 Workspace Responsibility

Workspace owners and admins are responsible for managing membership and ensuring proper use of shared documents within their workspaces.

5.2 Document Sharing

When you share documents with a workspace or other users, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share that content. Documents are private by default.

6. AI-Generated Responses

DOCSCOPE uses AI to generate answers based on your documents. You acknowledge that:

  • AI responses may not always be accurate or complete
  • Answers are based on the content of documents you upload
  • You should independently verify important information
  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell or distribute the Service without authorization

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and technology, is owned by DOCSCOPE and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

9.1 Subscription Plans

DOCSCOPE offers various subscription plans with different features and limits. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees.

9.2 Recurring Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis unless canceled. All prices include 11% VAT in accordance with Indonesian tax regulations.

9.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for mid-period cancellations, but you may use proration credits for future upgrades or renewals.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCSCOPE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DOCSCOPE and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
